Mrs. Dana Phillips
Position: Eighth Grade Teacher
Biography:
Dana Phillips was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana where she attended Centenary College of Louisiana and earned a B.S. in Biology. After college, Dana worked for a pharmaceutical company where she collected pharmaceutical/scientific data and wrote prescription drug applications to the Food and Drug Administration. Dana then aspired to become a teacher and returned to college at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque to obtain her teaching credentials. Dana has been teaching for 20 years with 14 of those in the Mat-Su School District (Houston Jr/Sr High and Colony Middle School). Dana lives in Palmer with her husband Daniel, their two children, and the family’s pet Seamonkeys. Dana enjoys spending time with her family, reading, playing board games, outdoor activities, photography, and traveling. Dana is very excited to be a part of the Birchtree Family!
